| Counseling services are provided through and in conjunction with the St. Paul's Episcopal Church Counseling Ministry. The services of the Counseling Ministry are available to both members and non-members of the Church. As part of his own personal ministry, Gordon volunteers his services as a therapist. All fees that are collected go directly to St. Paul's Church. |
| Credentials L. Gordon Brewer, Jr. has a Master of Education degree in counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. Gordon is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Gordon has had extensive experience in working with individuals and families during times of stress and transition. Gordon uses a systemic approach that focuses on changing interaction patterns that tend to prevent people from living successful and happy lives. |

| Confidentiality Statement Confidentiality will be maintained at all times within legal requirements of the State of Tennessee and ethical guidelines according to the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Code of Ethics. Confidentiality will not be maintained if a client threatens or give reason to believe that they will harm themselves or others. If client(s) are involved in couples or family therapy, it is encouraged that each participant maintains a “no secrets” policy and that issues be addressed openly and honestly during the sessions. |
| Licensure Gordon is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Marital and Family Therapist. Marital and Family Therapists work with individuals, couples and families providing psychotherapy in the context of marital and family systems theories and techniques. |
